BLENDED 和 (HARMONY): THE KIM LOO SISTERS

I was thrilled to be a member of the cast of Theater Mu and History Theatre’s World Premiere of Jessica Huang and Jacinth Greywoode’s BLENDED 和 (HARMONY): THE KIM LOO SISTERS, directed by Mu Artistic Director Lily Tung Crystal in May 2024.

“Of course, we know Ann Michels well from the stages in the Twin Cities, particularly The Chanhassen, and her voice and acting are always excellent. She and Ariel Estrada have lovely interactions and their own wonderful blend of harmony.” – Play Off The Page

“Ariel Estrada is excellent playing both Papa and Jenée's father-in-law, General Li, using his beautiful voice to good effect in two quite different roles, one conveying sweet longing, the other harsh authority.” – Talkin’ Broadway

“Thirdly, and this is probably my favorite use during the song “Pantages” by Jenee and her Papa, played by Ariel Estrada, who does a great job in the dual roles as Jenee’s father and father-in-law. As the characters sing about trips to the movie theater when she was young specifically mentioning Buster Keaton and Clare Bow, we are treated to Clips projected behind them from those Legends of the silent Cinema.” – The Stages of MN
