Ariel inducted into ArtEquity’s 2021-22 BIPOC Leadership Circle

artEquity has announced the second cohort of their Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Leadership Circle, including Ariel Estrada representing Actors’ Equity Association. The BIPOC Leadership Circle will bring together 50 dynamic art and culture leaders from across the US and Canada and take place over eight virtual convenings that span a six-month cycle, starting on September 16, 2021 and culminating on March 10, 2022.

One year ago, at the height of the global-pandemic and an unprecedented revealing of institutional failings, an urgent call was made to support Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color who were fatigued and undersupported in the arts and culture field. artEquity responded to that call, producing its inaugural BIPOC Leadership Circle.

This year, the program’s purpose and task remain clear. The second cohort gathers 50 BIPOC leaders representing organizations across the US and Canada. These leaders work within a number of art sectors including the performing and visual arts, arts councils, arts service organizations, and foundations.
