Hedgepig Ensemble and Ma-Yi Theater’s Expand the Canon Festival Reading of Yang Jiang’s FORGING THE TRUTH

On Monday, September 20, Hedgepig Ensemble in partnership with Ma-Yi Theatre Company broadcast a reading of Yang Jiang’s FORGING THE TRUTH, as part of Hedgepig’s Expand the Canon Festival. The annual Festival provides an annual, curated list of excellent and producible classic plays by women and underrepresented genders.

Ariel played the hedonistic Uncle Zhang Yuanfu in the 1946 Chinese comedy, directed by Miranda Cornell and also starred Karen Tsen Lee, Dorothea Gloria, Lizzie Roberts, David Shih, Lois Shih, Lydia Gaston, Thomas Pang, Jon Norman Schneider, and Jenna Zhu.
